The embassy also handles visa application for Ghanaian citizen who intends to travel to Denmark, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Sweden, and the Faroe Islands. The Danish embassy runs tax and development programs in Ghana to support the Ghanaian government in economic governance and public finance sustainability. They refocused the program in 2016 to work with activities mainly related to strengthening custom’s reform.

They provide support for private sector development programs in Ghana with the aim of creating decent and sustainable jobs. These programs include Support to Private Sector Development Phase 3 (SPSD III). This phase of the program, in particular, focuses on business advocacy, rural finance, skill development and recently the implementation of a national climate innovation centre. Another phase of the program is the SPSD II which focuses on strengthening the business environment in Ghana by creating opportunities for Danish companies and organizations to invest in the development of sustainable business practice and implementation of innovative solutions. All this is done under the auspice of the Danida Business Instrument.

Finally, the embassy runs a trade council which helps Danish investors who are interested in Ghana by providing market entry assistance, company’s registration, and general set up support.
