Ghana Telecom University was established by the National body overseeing telecommunications in Ghana. The reason for this was to ensure that Ghanaian students gain access to telecoms courses and thus improve the Ghanaian telecom sector.
Ghana Telecom University
The university was established in 2005 initially focusing on media-related courses. It has since grown to offer students several other courses and by 2017 enrolled 7,000 students. It currently has several satellite campuses located in Takoradi, Koforidua, Ho, and Kumasi.
Yearly several students seek to gain admission into the GTUC but most do not have an idea of the courses offered and the tuition fees. In this article, we shall be discussing the Ghana Telecom University courses and fees. Without further waste of time, let’s dive in immediately.
Courses offered at the Ghana Telecom University
GTUC before its inauguration in 2013 only offered certificate courses. Since August 2013 when it was officially inaugurated it has offered bachelor and postgraduate courses. The university places premium on the technical ability of its students and thus invests a lot in organizing seminars and workshops. The university offers undergraduate courses, short courses, Master’s, and Ph.D. courses. The courses are stated accordingly below:

Faculty of Business Studies – Degree (4 years / Top Up)– The University runs the business school in conjunction with Coventry University.

These courses are designed to give the students an added advantage in the job market over their contemporaries. Each course lasts for a maximum of two years and can be run fulltime or part-time. The courses are divided into diploma and certificate courses.

Note:
- The SRC and ISA dues are expected to be paid separately.
- All fresh students are required to pay their fees in full either before registration or while it is ongoing.
- Continuing students must pay at least 60% of their fees on or before registration day. If the fee has not been paid by the second week of the new semester, there will be a surcharge of GH¢200.00.
